Deleting social media and focusing all attention on the Lord
Deleting social media can be hard because we are so used to waking up and seeing if someone liked our post or someone else posted something. We don’t wake up in word of God. I deleted social media when I was going through a rough time point in my life. When on social media we tend to get caught up in temptation and things we are trying to get away from. We sometimes see our friends partying drinking, smoking, or doing sexual acts, and we wish we could do that. It’s not hard to get caught back up into it. This is why deleting all social media will be a better benefit for you in the long run. Delete all temptations from your life including social media.
Don’t worry I’m not here to tell you that deleting social media is what you need to do. But it definitely is a excellent choice when going through hard times and spiritual warfare. Social media is great but for us Christians it can be very difficult. Social media is a distraction to the Lord and helps us fall away from God. The things we see online can lead us to falling into sin and lead it to be really hard to get out of it. This is the same with pornography!
Social media takes our time we should be having with the Lord and places it onto a device. It’s unhealthy for us to spend much time watching videos instead of opening our Bible. We will not find answers to our questions through the posts of influencers! God is the way and the only way, and we got to lean to move and grow with that. Deleting social media is and was hard for me. Not only because I don’t have that old routine anymore it’s because I have to find a way to build a new one and that can be hard. According to scientific knowledge building a habit can start with only 20–28 days. You have to start somewhere, someday. Make today the day you got this, and you are strong!
With this new year coming up and us welcoming 2024 into the world. Let’s keep our old habits and routines in our past and make new ones dedicated to the Lord. Let’s focus on our faith in him and knowing that he’s our Savior and he died for us!
